# Best Record Cleaning Solutions for Vinyl (2026) Source: https://turntablenest.com/best/cleaning-solutions Updated: 2026-10-06 Publisher: Turntable Nest. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://turntablenest.com/how-we-research#our-score A record cleaning solution is the fluid that loosens grime, fingerprints, and residue from grooves so a brush or machine can carry it away. The most important quality is that the formula is safe for vinyl, which usually means alcohol-free or carefully balanced, and that it rinses or dries without leaving a haze that would add its own noise. Consider whether you want a ready-to-use spray for quick cleaning or a concentrate you dilute for larger batches, and whether it pairs with your existing brush or machine. This guide suits anyone moving beyond dry dusting into proper wet cleaning, especially owners of used or secondhand records that carry decades of grime. A good fluid noticeably lowers surface noise and protects your stylus. If you only ever dust with a carbon fiber brush, you may not need a solution yet. Prioritize a record-safe, residue-free formula and make sure the application method matches the tools you already own. ## Picks ### 1.
