What we liked
- + Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless playback from a phone, tablet or laptop
- + Optical and coaxial inputs for a TV or digital source, plus a subwoofer output with auto crossover
- + Powered design needs no separate amplifier, so setup is just speakers and a source
Trade-offs
- - Priced near $160, in the middle of this guide
- - A different model from the R1855DB, so its size, inputs and sound differ from the one it replaces
