What we liked
- + Current II generation of the RP-8000F, sold as a pair in the walnut finish
- + 8-inch Cerametallic woofers and a 1-inch LTS titanium tweeter built for efficiency and low distortion
- + Dual input terminals allow bi-wiring or bi-amping to separate high and low frequency current
Trade-offs
- - The same speaker as the ebony RP-8000F II pair in this guide, so the choice is only about finish
- - Large towers with 8-inch woofers need floor space and a sizeable room to make sense
