What we liked
- + Sold as a matched pair with the larger 90 x 90 degree hybrid Tractrix horn of the II generation
- + 1-inch LTS titanium diaphragm tweeter and updated Cerametallic woofers aimed at low distortion and high efficiency
- + 6.5-inch woofers instead of the 8-inch drivers of the RP-8000F II, a better match for mid-size listening rooms
Trade-offs
- - Still close to a four-figure pair, a large spend if the rest of the vinyl chain is entry level
- - The rear Atmos connections are a home theater feature that adds nothing for two-channel record listening
