What we liked
- + USB and SPDIF optical inputs let it connect to a PC, TV or other digital source
- + ESS9038Q2M DAC chip with DSD256 support is listed for high resolution playback
- + Combines a DAC and headphone amp in one box with RCA and 6.35/3.5mm outputs
Trade-offs
- - Priced near $80, so it costs more than the basic desktop amps in this guide
- - Douk Audio is a smaller brand than FiiO or Topping, so support and resale are less established
