Audio-Technica AT-LP7X Belt-Drive Turntable
Audio-Technica AT-LP7X is a fully manual belt-drive turntable with an MDF cabinet and acrylic platter. It is a premium step up in price from the old LPW30TKR, not a like-for-like swap.

What we liked
- + Heavy 40 mm MDF cabinet is listed to reduce resonance and vibration.
- + 20 mm thick high-density acrylic platter gives high rotational inertia and needs no platter mat.
- + J-shaped tonearm with adjustable VTA and a speed-sensor motor support careful setup.
Trade-offs
- - It is a premium-priced deck, far above entry-level manual turntables.
- - Fully manual operation and only 33-1/3 and 45 RPM speeds, so there is no automatic return.
