What we liked
- + Ortofon OM 5E cartridge has a stylus that upgrades within the same body
- + Minimalist matte black design keeps attention on the music
- + Pro-Ject engineering gives better speed stability than budget all-in-ones
Trade-offs
- - Entry model sits below true high-end decks in platter and arm quality
- - No built-in phono stage, so an external preamp is needed
