What we liked
- + Conical stylus is kind to worn or used records from secondhand shops
- + Most affordable entry to the VM95 family with room to upgrade
- + Dual moving magnet design gives good stereo imaging for the price
Trade-offs
- - Less treble detail than the elliptical and MicroLine VM95 options
- - Upgrading stylus later adds cost compared with buying VM95E up front
