What we liked
- + Ortofon 2M Blue elliptical cartridge is included, a well known upgrade level cartridge
- + Reference high fidelity design aimed at pure analog listening
- + Complete turntable with cartridge fitted, so no separate cartridge purchase is needed
Trade-offs
- - Priced around $608, much higher than the Rega Planar 1 it replaces, so it is a premium pick
- - A hi-fi deck needs a separate phono preamp or compatible amp, which adds cost if you do not own one
