What we liked
- + Fully automatic operation: start, play and tonearm return are handled by the turntable
- + Integrated AT-VM95C cartridge accepts any VM95 series stylus, so the needle can be upgraded later
- + Switchable built-in preamp connects to powered speakers or to a receiver without a phono input
Trade-offs
- - Two speeds only, 33-1/3 and 45 RPM, with no 78 RPM setting for shellac records
- - Sits at the top of the budget range, noticeably more than the AT-LP60X also listed in this guide
