What we liked
- + 2.5-way cascading crossover with a 1-inch Terylene tweeter and two 5.25-inch woofers in a slim tower cabinet
- + Power Port bass venting is stated to deliver 3 dB more bass output than a conventional ported speaker
- + Works with 4 and 8 ohm amplifier outputs, with gold-plated 5-way binding posts and rubber feet for carpet or hard floors
Trade-offs
- - Priced and sold as a single speaker, so a stereo pair for vinyl means buying two
- - 5.25-inch woofers are small for a tower, so large rooms may still call for a subwoofer
