What we liked
- + Sold as a pair at a budget price, so one purchase covers a complete stereo set for a turntable system
- + Dual 6.5-inch poly woofers in a bass reflex cabinet over 39 inches tall, which puts the tweeter near seated ear height
- + Real crossovers, 150W stated power handling and gold-plated binding posts that accept banana plugs
Trade-offs
- - Passive design: needs a separate amplifier or receiver, plus a phono stage for the turntable
- - The feature list gives no sensitivity or impedance figures, so amplifier matching takes extra research
